Stitch by Stitch

I have been working on machine quilted wall hangings and this is one.
The stitches add the detail to the flower petals and centre. Buttons add to the border.
This piece is approx. 16"X16" in size.
I did get my inspiration from a book on the subject, there will be more to come.

Smoke Gets in My Eyes

Working with smoke from incense burning, camera on tripod I took my first photos.

These have all been enhanced using a photo program.

I like the images that appear in the curls of smoke.

 What do you see?

Do you see a rose?

I see a dancer.

Story in Black & White

This building, old, broken and worn, tell the stories of days gone by, without a sound.

She Sees Sea Shells

My inspiration for a water colour painting came from these photos of shoreline and shells.

Using bubble wrap over wet paint, I created the look of pebbles on the sand.

Follow the Dots

I am quite pleased with the way this water colour painting turned out, there may be a few added touches but for now I will consider it finished.
Here is the photo I took last year which inspired the painting.

Plastic Wrap

This is what I saw once I put water colour paint and plastic wrap over paper.
  Fun on a wet day.

Fly Away

The cold weather keeps us all in doors............

so I will have to be content with looking at photos of butterflies in flight, as there are none outside to take photos of.

I like the action in these photos, with focus on other body parts.

If only we all could fly to where it is warm.

Living in a Bubble

This photo, of a water drop on the shutter, was turned upside down to show the palm trees living in a bubble.

Not Much Shade

I find shadows interesting against a solid background.
The tree at the edge of our patio gives little shade, on a sunny day like today only a shadow.
